HIIT THE COURT

The Fitness Tribe
With A Hoops Vibe

Want a fun group workout with a basketball in your hands?

HIIT THE COURT is a San Francisco based 1 hour high intensity interval training (HIIT) group basketball fitness class for adults. The class is designed for anybody regardless of skill level or fitness capacity. Unlike other workouts focused on a specific fitness objective that you do alone like running, weight lifting, or yoga — in a HIIT THE COURT class you will burn hundreds of calories, move through a full range of motion, strength train, utilize plyometrics, and increase cardio capacity through basketball specific exercises and drills that you do in a group setting. The workout will improve your physical, mental, and social fitness!

Increase mobility, strength, cardio, and skill!

Our classes will begin with a warm up period consisting of dynamic movement. It progresses from there to get more specialized into functional activities across all planes of movement that also get you more confident with the ball in your hands regardless of body position. We introduce dribbling, shooting, passing and other skills in a fun environment where you have to work together and compete to get the highest score or hit the buzzer beater for your team!

This isn’t a pickup game or a competitive environment where someone or some group loses. We’re all here to build a workout community together around the love of basketball. The vision is for you to get a great workout while having fun, build a bond with new people, and learn some basketball skills while doing it. That being said, we still do encourage our members to play pick up together outside of class or join one of the many great leagues available. There will be times where we have extra gym time and we will encourage whoever wants to play after a workout to do so (this will be totally optional!)

This is a community, not a competition.

All you need is to wear proper athletic attire and athletic shoes. We strongly recommend wearing basketball shoes but if you don’t have a pair then any non-marking athletic shoe designed for cross-training should suffice. Weight lifting shoes, barefoot shoes, and casual walking shoes are not appropriate. Please also do not wear anything with spikes or cleats at the bottom that can damage a wood floor. There will be water fountains and a bathroom available at the gym.

All you need is your usual workout attire.

Class size is limited to only 12 participants, and is first come first serve, so save your spot today!
